California Mission Diorama Research Project 4th Grade

Description
In this project, students create a small informative diorama of a California mission. They research important information related to their mission, using a research guide. From there, they write a three-paragraph report about their mission. They can complete this project digitally (then print out) or by hand.
DIGITAL VERSION
In the digital version, students insert images and text directly onto the diorama template in a Google Slide file before printing it out. There is a link to the Google Slides file in the purchased download. Once saved to your Google Drive, you can manipulate it and share it with your students on Google Classroom. Be sure to select the “MAKE A COPY FOR EACH STUDENT” option when creating an assignment on Google Classroom, so that each student has his/her own copy to work on. There are directions on the digital version for students to follow.
PAPER VERSION
Give each student a copy of the diorama paragraph sheets, which are included in the PDF download. Students write their report by hand and either draw a picture of the mission or glue a photograph of it to the top half of the diorama. There are directions on the paper version for students to follow.
