What educators are saying

These have been very helpful for my special education students. I have used all of these with my students for weekly assessments and they are learning to blend. Great resource!

Description

Magic e... silent e... CVCe... no matter what you call it, here's a way to track your students' understanding of this tricky concept. :)
.....................................................................................

Are you looking for a quick, easy way to assess your students’ reading progress?

I Heart Data assessments are a fantastic way to monitor student progress throughout the year. The assessments are short and easy to administer, making them a practical way to track data.

These assessments can be used by classroom teachers, special education teachers, interventionists, paraeducators, homeschoolers, tutors, and more. These assessments are particularly helpful for writing and tracking IEP goals, and presenting the data at IEP meetings.

This CVCe assessment is aligned to CCSS RF.K.2b, RF.K.3, RF.1.3, RF.1.3b, and RF.1.3c, but it can be used for students in any grade that struggle with decoding. Each assessment contains 20 randomly chosen words from a list of over 100 words. To help you pinpoint exactly where your students are having difficulty, there are 6 words with long vowel a-e, 6 words with vowel i, 6 words with long vowel o-e, and 2 words with long vowel u-e.

Digraphs (ch, th, sh, ph, wh, and qu) are not represented in this assessment.
