What educators are saying

This was just what I needed to pull something out quick for progress monitoring with my students. Thank you.

Description

If you have a student or multiple students with IEP goals related to decoding, it can always be a struggle to find the time or resources to keep up-to-date data on their progress. This assessment/progress monitoring tool contains 6 word list with 12 different CVC words that include all 5 short vowel sounds.  Words are not repeated so your students don't have the opportunity to memorize the words. You can use this tool for a goal of decoding 5, 10, or 12 words per monitoring session. If you monitor weekly you can use a different list for each week for 6 weeks or a 12 week semester if you do biweekly progress monitoring.   Each page can be used to quickly assess and compare side by side, a students' progress with their decoding skills. You can give a copy of the assessment tool to the student or use the provided word list sheets, and then keep a copy in front of yourself to track student mistakes. These pages are useful to record progress that needs to be reported at parent conferences, IEP meetings, or progress reports.
