What educators are saying

These are great for differentiation and for allowing me to provide practice over a longer period of time in order for my students to learn the phonics sounds and to increase their fluency. They will be a part of the individualized student summer work packets.

Description

CVC Rhyming Word Family Flip Books in Color and BW includes 24 Word Families.

These little books are especially helpful for special ed and students with autism.

Word Family Flip Books are great for centers, cooperative learning, individual word study, intervention tutoring, or homework practice with parents. Students love learning rhyming words by practicing with these little books.

This package includes 24 CVC word families:

at, ad, ag, am, an, ap,

ed, en, et

ig, in, ip,

og, op, ot, ox,

ub, ud, ug, un, um, up, ut, us

One to three of the cards in each family has a picture clue. The rest of the flipping reveals words that rhyme with the first. The words in these flip-books are cvc with a few ccvc words to challenge the students as they become more proficient.

Flash cards with no pictures are included for sorting into families, practicing with a tutor, or for testing quick recognition of the CVC word families.

If you need the Black Line Only version please follow this link.

You may print as many copies for your class as needed. Of course the BW are less expensive to print, but remember to color the RED sack with a marker or crayon. Detailed instructions for assembly are included. I draw, paint, and make all my own clip art, so I hope you and your students enjoy it and are inspired to make some yourselves.
