CREATE YOUR OWN CLASSROOM NEWSLETTER WEEK 1

During the first week of "Create Your Own Classroom Newsletter" project, students enthusiastically embraced their roles as budding journalists and editors. They embarked on an exciting journey of creativity and collaboration as they brainstormed ideas and selected a theme for their newsletter. With pens and laptops at the ready, they delved into writing captivating articles, conducting interviews with fellow students and teachers, and even exploring the wider community for engaging content. The classroom buzzed with energy as they skillfully crafted their articles, ensuring a balance of informative and entertaining content. Together, they honed their writing skills, practiced editing, and learned the art of designing visually appealing layouts. The week concluded with a sense of accomplishment and anticipation for sharing their very first edition with the entire school community, eager to showcase their collective talent and journalistic prowess.

This is week one of how to create a newsletter.

This course is intended to use over a 4-week period to teach children how to create a newsletter from initial creative stages to final production. It shows examples of existing newsletters, different softwares which can be used and examples of different parts of existing newsletters which can be used in their own personal newsletter.

Children can create a newsletter on a favorite sport, hobby or team in as little as 4 weeks (or less if you double time the lessons).
