Description

This is a Mock Courtroom play to allow students to learn and understand, how it runs and operates, and to learn and understand the key roles of the main persons in a courtroom.

My sister: Most people have that special sibling that they closely bond with. Of my three sisters, Linda Marie Smalley was the one I bonded with. She passed in 2009 of complications of a surgery. She wrote this play for me a year before she died.

History: When I did this with my students, I called the local paper and invited them to watch. They did a story and took pictures for the paper. I also took my students to an actual courtroom for a field trip. We watched part of a trial and were able to talk to the judge afterwards. The kids loved it.
