Bundle Wonders, Fifth Grade: Units 1-5

These presentations are designed to follow Units 1-5 for Fifth Grade Wonders (2017 Edition). They include 4-5 weeks of that unit, as specified below:

• Unit 1, Weeks 1-5
• Unit 2, Weeks 1-4
• Unit 3, Weeks 1-5
• Unit 4, Weeks 1-4
• Unit 5, Weeks 1-5

Each presentation focuses on 2-3 of the week's texts, depending on the complexity of the second, longer passage.  The students will use a variety of activities to evaluate, analyze and demonstrate their understanding.

The presentations include:

• Vocabulary Development using Wonders vocabulary and applied context clues practice
• Background information on text topics and genres
• Review activities of the lesson's skill focus
• Opportunities to highlight evidence from the passage
• Opportunities for written and multiple choice responses
• A variety of response platforms (Pear Deck, Kahoot, Google Forms, Jamboard, Your Turn Practice Book)
• Connection to Wonders online resources
• Exemplar answers for paragraph response questions

This presentation is designed to be used with Pear Deck, however, it will work just as well as a regular Google slides.  The slides that have a picture of the pear are interactive slides.  If you do not have Pear Deck, you can look in the notes box below the slide for any multiple choice possibilities.  Otherwise, printing off the slide for highlighting and white board responses are possible alternatives.  Some of the slides refer to Wonders online tools or reproducibles.  For online tools, you will need to assign them to the students through your account.
