What are Divider Tabs?

Divider tabs are a tool used to keep student notes organized throughout the year.

Why are Divider Tabs AWESOME?

These divider tabs are seriously amazing because they are multi purposeful.

My biggest issue in setting up Interactive Notebooks is that they are hard to keep up with. Table of Contents and Page Numbering? They sound great, initially. However, those items are tedious wastes of time and typically become forgotten.

Introducing Divider tabs replaces a traditional notebook setup while offering easy access to unit materials.

How Can I Use Divider Tabs?

Printing is recommended on card stock but works just fine with standard printer paper. Curved Tabs reduces the chance of becoming torn.

Due to the amount of tabs available, some overlapping will exist. You may have students color code their tabs as well for fast access!

Divider tabs can be used in multiple ways! You may simply provide them for a quick cut and glue activity or you could provide these to early finishers after a test. Students may color the sheet and have time to process (using the imagery) what material is upcoming. Further, you may have students stretch their imagination by providing a B/W version that you can edit to remove the text. As students color they may brainstorm what the unit will be called.
