Build a house challenge: Project Based learning

Incorporate this resource pack to your structure, engineering/building unit. Students plan and carry out their own house design. Introduce this project by reading books about houses around the world. Building that background knowledge about stability and parts of a house/ building will prepare your students before they set off to design and build their own house using easily accessible craft materials. Here is the link to a free ebook story: A Palace for My Mother. You can also use this link to show students how to make a palace out of cardboard pieces!
