Description

This project is a fun way for kids to research things that interest them – items on their bucket list. I always start out by discussing the concept of a bucket list and the pros and cons of creating one. Then, students create their own list of 10 items, choosing only some to research. I also show clips from the movie to pique their interest, but these are totally optional.

The project is a multigenre project. This means students use different genres to show information about a topic. It gives them some choice and flexibility in ways to demonstrate knowledge.

One of the reasons I love teaching this unit is that it is SO flexible. Nearly everything is editable. Add or take out anything based on the amount of time you need it to take, the knowledge your students have on research, and/or the interest and abilities of your students.
