Description
Celebrating Ground Hog Day? Rid yourself of the winter blahs and those of your students with this two-day lesson! This study guide has everything a busy teacher needs so no need to find these items yourself. Focusing on the funny Tony award nominated Ground Hog Day musical, students also study its plot and creative team which includes Tim Minchin of Matilda. Plus, students have an opportunity to become very familiar with the production and its journey to Broadway. This musical lesson can be used with students distance learning by making a few tweaks. #DistanceLearningTpT
Ground Hog Day the musical is about Phil Connors, a cynical Pittsburgh TV weatherman, who is sent to cover the annual Groundhog Day event in the isolated small town of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, when he finds himself caught in a time loop, forced to repeat the same day again and again…and again.
The lesson can stand alone or be combined with one of my Famous Artist Biographies (Lin Manuel Miranda) or other musical lessons (Hamilton), (Wicked).
The teacher will need access to YouTube.com.
Need a quick emergency lesson plan? Or one for a substitute? Everything is provided for the busy teacher.
