This Bridge the Math Gap math workbook is perfect for any elementary school math classroom! We have all had a student enter our class that is not on grade level. If you're anything like me, you are searching for resources that you can use with the student but have a hard time finding resources that align with what the child needs.

I made this addition & subtraction workbook for every teacher that would like to bridge the achievement gap in their students' learning! :)

2 VERSIONS:

This workbook follows a left side/right side model. The left side is a guided practice page that can be worked out with the teacher's help. The right side is for student practice.

There are 2 versions of the guided practice pages:

  1. I do, we do, you do model
  2. Numbered questions

Both pages have the same exact questions, but you can use whichever version. you feel is best for your classroom :)

Understand that in adding two-digit numbers, one adds tens and tens, ones and ones; and sometimes it is necessary to compose a ten.
Given a two-digit number, mentally find 10 more or 10 less than the number, without having to count; explain the reasoning used.
Subtract multiples of 10 in the range 10-90 from multiples of 10 in the range 10-90 (positive or zero differences), using concrete models or drawings and strategies based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction; relate the strategy to a written method and explain the reasoning used.
Fluently add and subtract within 100 using strategies based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction.
