Description

You and your team of engineers have been given the challenge of designing a bridge using any combination of the following building materials (dowel rods, popsicle sticks, toothpicks, flexible straws, string, and hot glue). Bridges must be able to hold at least 5 pounds and span at least 45 centimeters in length. In addition to meeting the weight bearing and structural requirements, your bridge will be judged on its aesthetics as well, so be creative! For each stage in the design timeline below, you and your team will need a “scribe” to record all of your discussions, designs and data in your engineering logbook. Please give your engineering team a clever name and name your bridge as well!
