Books Into Movies Hollywood Activity

This Library or Classroom lesson is used to allow students to illustrate their favorite book that has been turned into a movie. The lesson begins with a video linked in download to set the Hollywood stage for Books turned into movies.
Students have a brainstorming activity and a star to illustrate their favorite book turned into a movie. Library learners will THINK about all of the books they have read and watched as a movie, CREATE a list of these book and movie combinations, SHARE their favorite transformation by illustrating a scene from the book/movie, and GROW from seeing their peers illustrations. I created these to go along with our Hollywood Homecoming theme. The star represents the movie portion of the Book Into Movie adaptation. How to Use: This is a pdf download with a clickable link. The link will open the How to video for students in YouTube. Simply print out the Brainstorming page and the Illustration page for your students for a quick library or classroom lesson.
