Engage your students in reading a variety of genres, to help them branch out, and find new good fit books. Also, get non-readers excited about reading and finding new/different books!
A "Book Tasting" is an activity in which your class it set up like a cafe (with as much or as little decor as you want). Each table has books that represent a different genre, and students read a few pages (or books, if using picture books) while at that rotation. They will answer some before, during, and after reading questions on their "Reading Menu", then rotate to the next genre and repeat.
