Description
This is a 10 page assignment in Word with approximately 30 questions on the identification of various blood cells and conditions pertaining to specific types of blood cells. I use this assignment toward the end of the blood cells unit to reinforce previous learning. All answers can be found in the blood cells open notes and the blood cells PPT. Lots of full-color blood slides, clip art and enhanced electron micrographs are included in the assignment. The 10-page answer KEY is included.
This assignment is a Word document that is used on the computer with a drop box such as Blackboard, PowerSchool or School Space. It can be quickly and easily converted into a printable paper copy by simply removing the asterisks and adding lines for the students to write their answers instead of typing them. I use this format often so that we can save paper by using electronic copies of assignments.
The student answers the questions by placing the cursor between the red asterisks and begins typing the answer - that way they can easily see that they've answered the question and I can easily grade the assignment by reading what they've typed in red. A nice feature of assignments that are used on the computer along with a website or an electronic copy of a PPT is that the assignment can be 'pinned' to one side of the computer screen and the website/PPT pinned to the other so the student can see both the assignment and the website/PPT they're working from at the same time. I love technology!
