Description
This is the Third Week of lesson plans for the thematic study of Black History/African American leaders. It includes short biographies and higher order thinking questions as well as suggested book readings. Week one is a free download that goes more in depth on how to use this weeks' plans to continue creating a class chapter book on Famous African Americans. Week one was over living African American contributors, Week two was over inventors and this week 3 lesson plan and activities are about activists who secured the rights of education for all, black history for all, abolition of slavery and women's voting rights. The standards attached for this are Kindergarten but it can be modified as a bell ringer/morning work for any grade.
