Worksheets Included in this bundle:

1. Cell Handout

This includes detailed and labeled pictures of a prokaryotic, eukaryotic, plant, and animal cell. Students can use this for their information for an upcoming test or quiz, or for reference when performing other activities.

2. Cell Labeling Worksheet/Assessment (Eukaryote and Prokaryote)

This can be used one of several ways. Students can use this to look up the answers and complete as an activity and then use the completed worksheet as a study reference. This can also be used as a quiz since the pictures located in this worksheet/assessment are the same as the handout mentioned previously. This version uses prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells and has no word bank.

3. Cell Labeling Worksheet/Assessment with Word Bank (Eukaryote and Prokaryote)

This can be used one of several ways. Students can use this to look up the answers and complete as an activity and then use the completed worksheet as a study reference. This can also be used as a quiz since the pictures located in this worksheet/assessment are the same as the handout mentioned previously. This version uses prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells and it DOES have a word bank.

4. Cell Labeling Worksheet/Assessment (Animals and Plants)

This can be used one of several ways. Students can use this to look up the answers and complete as an activity and then use the completed worksheet as a study reference. This can also be used as a quiz since the pictures located in this worksheet/assessment are the same as the handout mentioned previously. This version uses animal and plant cells and it does not have a word bank.

5. Cell Labeling Worksheet/Assessment with Word Bank (Animals and Plants)

This can be used one of several ways. Students can use this to look up the answers and complete as an activity and then use the completed worksheet as a study reference. This can also be used as a quiz since the pictures located in this worksheet/assessment are the same as the handout mentioned previously. This version uses animal and plant cells and it DOES have a word bank.

6. Eukaryotic VS Prokaryotic Cells Worksheet.

This is for students to recognize the similarities and differences between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. Students must be able to use a Venn Diagram and compare and contrast the two.

7. Animal VS Plant Cells Worksheet.

This is for students to recognize the similarities and differnces between animal and plant cells. Studnets must be able to use a Venn Diagram and compare and contrast the two.

8. DNA Replication Worksheet.

Again, this can be used as a worksheet or quiz. Students are to put the steps of DNA replication in order both by writing a number to the already typed steps and also required to rewrite all the steps in order. This will provide practice and reinforcement of the complicated DNA replication steps.

9. Mitosis Lecture Questions.

This is a review of Mitosis as well as keywords associated with Mitosis. This information should be readily available whether in a textbook or personal PowerPoint or other lesson. This information is also tied in with the PowerPoint on Mitosis that is listed in my store as Biology! The Cell: Mitosis. Students will also have to identify some pictures with the proper step of the Mitosis. Students will also have to do the same from text.

10. Mitosis Identification.

This is a series of pictures/photos that students will have to look at and evaluate which step of Mitosis the cell is currently in.

11. Prokaryote Coloring Activity.

This is an activity that will work great with multiple age groups and skill levels. There is a picture of a prokaryotic cell. There are specific directions on what to color on the cell and which color it should be. At the bottom the students will also have to include a brief description of certain organelles/structures.

12. Eukaryote Coloring Activity.

This is an activity that will work great with multiple age groups and skill levels. There is a picture of a eukaryotic cell. There are specific directions on what to color on the cell and which color it should be. At the bottom the students will also have to include a brief description of certain organelles/structures.

13. Animal Cell Coloring Activity.

This is an activity that will work great with multiple age groups and skill levels. There is a picture of a animal cell. There are specific directions on what to color on the cell and which color it should be. At the bottom the students will also have to include a brief description of certain organelles/structures.

14. Plant Cell Coloring Activity.

This is an activity that will work great with multiple age groups and skill levels. There is a picture of a plant cell. There are specific directions on what to color on the cell and which color it should be. At the bottom the students will also have to include a brief description of certain organelles/structures.

15. Onion Cell Mitosis

This is an activity that will allow practice of identification of mitotic phases. Students are given a picture that includes 18 cells. They will have to identify the phase of mitosis each cell is in.

16. Passive Transport Worksheet

This is an open ended worksheet where students will define key words as well as illustrate concepts of passive transport. They will need to have an understanding of passive transport, equilibruim, molecule movement, diffusion, and facilitated diffusion.

17. Active Transport Worksheet

This is an open ended worksheet where students will define key words as well as illustrate concepts of active transport. They will need to have an understanding of active transport, endocytosis, concentration gradients, and be able to fully review passive and active transport on a chart located at the end of the worksheet.

18. Cell Timeline

Students will create a timeline of the major major discoveries of the cell and any advances in technology to be able to better study cells. They will need to include the date, name of the scientist(s), the discovery itself, and any other relevant details. Students are also provided space to complete this activity.

19. Cell Model

In this activity, students will make a three dimensional model of a plant cell or animal cell. They may use any materials or mediums to complete this model. Each cell must include: Vacuole, Chloroplast (if plant cell), Cell membrane, Golgi Apparatus, Mitochondrion, Smooth and Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum, Ribosome, Nucleus, and Lysosomes. Each cell structure must be clearly labeled and defined. At the end students will answer questions about the similarities to a real cell.

20. Starch Diffusion Lab

This is a classic laboratory illustrating the concept of semipermeable membranes. Students will have a plastic baggie and fill it with a starch and water solution. They will also have a beaker with an iodine and water solution. Students will then observe the semipermeable membrane when the baggie is left in the iodine solution for a 15 minute period of time. Students will have to identify the results, analyze the results, and answer conclusion questions to create a deeper understanding of the membrane, vocabulary, and laboratory processes.

21. Investigating Cell Structures and Processes Laboratory

This is a laboratory which illustrates the concept of semipermeable membranes and hypotonic, isotonic, and hypertonic environments on a cell. Students will be using a microscope to observe changes in cells in each of these environments and then answering results and conclusion questions about what they have observed.
