Biology Course Notes for Finals BUNDLE | Keystone Exam Prep | Outline

This 14 chapter Biology curriculum outline BUNDLE includes Biology Curriculum Course Map Module A and Biology Curriculum Course Map Module B. It can also be used as course review notes to prepare for finals.

The first five chapters of course instruction are correlated to the Pennsylvania Biology Keystone Standards for Module A. The remaining nine chapters of course instruction are for Module B. Each anchor descriptor includes key terminology and teacher instructions. It also features a suggested time-frame for tackling each chapter, notes about labs and diagrams, and insights into areas where students commonly struggle.

WHAT CONTENT IS COVERED?

The areas covered in Module A of the curriculum include: prokaryotes and eukaryotes, cell organelles, biological organization, water properties, macromolecules, enzymes, photosynthesis and cell respiration, cellular transport, and homeostasis.

The areas covered in Module B of the curriculum include: mitosis/meiosis, DNA replication and transcription, protein synthesis, patterns of inheritance, mutations, genetic engineering, evolution, natural selection, ecological levels of organization, biomes, biotic interactions, population dynamics, the water cycle and the nitrogen cycle.

TEACHING FOR THE KEYSTONES?

I developed and fine-tuned this curriculum over the course of five years, during which time I taught both standard Keystone classes and remediation courses.
