Have your children research Sojourner Truth. For younger children, have them listen to stories and read "easy readers" about her.
This resource includes two ways for your children to share what they have learned about Sojourner Truth in writing.
- Sojourner Truth Flap Book (color and black and white)
- Sojourner Truth Fast Facts (color and black and white)
Directions For Flap Book:
- Instruct children to cut out the top panel along the outside edge with the questions on the front.
- Cut flaps on the top sheet only.
- They do not cut on the second page that says, “Glue here.”
- Glue the top sheet to the back sheet on the “Glue here spaces.”
- Children read instructions on the top of the flaps.. Open the flaps and write the answer.
Directions for Fast Facts
- Research Sojourner Truth
- Write six fast facts about him on the Sojourner Truth Printable.
- Pick facts that you found most interesting about her!
