    Description

This is the big one! ALL of my Shakespeare resources available in ONE bundle. Six plays. Lots of activities. Your classroom will be filled with students excited to get involved with the Bard.

There are comic summaries of the following plays: Romeo and Juliet, Julius Caesar, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Hamlet, Macbeth, and Othello. Each act of each play is summarized in comic form in easy to understand images that use Shakespeare's actual words from the plays. These comics take a light touch and feature fun elements like hidden images, cameos by famous pop culture figures, and secret messages. They are perfect for EL students, reluctant readers, or just about anyone, really.

In addition to the comic summaries, you will also get a bunch of activities that get kids interacting with the language. They can be used before you read each act, as a review after finishing each act, or as lead-ins to learning stations. They get kids responding creatively to the key scenes and monologues.

In addition to each of these comics you'll get the following resources to help you with your students' study of Shakespeare:

    • a comic lesson on iambic pentameter, the key to all things Shakespeare
    • a comic lesson on Sonnet 18, which you can use to get students acquainted with Shakespeare's language
    • a biography of Shakespeare, both as a comic and as a whiteboard video
    • a set of bell ringers that will help students become familiar with Shakespeare's language before they read
    • a Romeo and Juliet poster
    • a version of the Romeo and Juliet comics in Spanish

Be sure to check out my other products for more fun ELA resources!
