Description
This is a bookmark that I created when teaching my 7th grade ELA students to interpret their reading through the Biblical lens of Creation, the Fall, Redemption, and Restoration. I printed and laminated these bookmarks, and then students kept them in their books. Throughout the unit, I referred to the bookmark to pull out diagnostic questions to help interpret the events in the novel. I have used this with Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry, and The Devil's Arithmetic, but it could be adapted to fit many secular novels.
