This Excel File is as informative and versatile as you can get! Using your Fountas & Pinnell Benchmarking kit, conduct your class benchmarking as you normally would. Then, enter each child's highest instructional level on their own individual report. Benchmarks are built into the program that will automatically turn your data Yellow (if the child is on the border of falling behind) or Red (if the child is below the recommended level). The benchmarks are automatically updated based on the child's grade level and instructional reading level. The program then consolidates all of your individual student data into a class roster page that will give you your entire class at a glance so you can easily form instructional guided reading groups or strategy groups. Benchmark again in the Winter and the Spring to track progress. Print the individual reports to share with parents or to put in cumulative folders. There is even "Professional Development" tabs built into the program to help refresh your memory on M-S-V analysis, accuracy formulas and determining instructional levels.
