All calendars are available in both color and black & white. Choose from a dated calendar or a write-in weekly version. All dates included are for the current school year and are updated each summer for the upcoming calendar. Print off the pdf version and handwrite or have your students write in their names or use the editable set to type in your students’ names.

Use the directions for parents and guardians as written or open up the PowerPoint version to edit and make any changes to suit your needs. Copy the directions to the backside of the behavior chart or, if you are using nightly take home folders with clear page inserts on the front and back covers, slide the behavior chart into the front cover and the directions into the back cover of the folder.

I recommend scheduling a routine time towards the end of the day to have student record their behavior onto the chart. Teachers and assistants are absolutely able to do the record keeping as well, but having the students record their behavior while the teacher monitors frees up valuable teacher time and makes the students aware and accountable for their behavior.

You may edit the calendar to add important dates or notes for families. I recommend putting this calendar in your daily communication home folder. Some teachers ask for families to initial the chart. Choose what works best for you. I do recommend saving the completed charts each month as documentation of each student’s behavior which can be used as portfolio pieces for citizenship report cards, progress monitoring, and IEPs.

Please note that the clip art that is included is seasonally based in order to be inclusive of all students and families. National U.S. holiday clip art is included but religious based clip art that celebrates specific holidays is not.
