Teach beginning sounds to your kindergarten students explicitly with this interactive PowerPoint and cut & glue worksheets for every letter of the alphabet. Perfect to introduce each letter in your phonics lesson. Includes 260 slides to teach the initial sounds with animations and sound effects.
I created this resource to support explicitly teaching a new phoneme (sound) in the classroom. When introducing a new phoneme (sound) it is important to apply and practice the new sound by hearing the initial sound, reading and writing words with the new sound.
What's included:
260 slides, 10 per letter
* Guess what’s hiding in the 5 boxes ( pictures with the focus sound appear when each box is clicked)
*1 animated letter formation slide for the correct formation when handwriting
*5 slides with a picture and word that starts with the focus sound
• 12 objects that start with the focus sound appear one at a time and the students can give a Thumbs up or thumbs down if it is the correct sound or not
*Find and click on the pictures that start with the focus sound, 5 Objects that start with the focus sound spin and disappear when clicked , pictures that do not start with the sound buzz and stay there
• Animated GIFs that start with the focus sound are covering a decodable CVC word that has the focus sound in it, the students can Click on the picture and read the word that is revealed.

Beginning sounds cut & glue worksheets are the perfect follow up after introducing a new beginning sound using the pOWERpoint.
-Students will identify the pictures and isolate the beginning sounds, cut and paste onto the letter page. They will also be able to practice important fine motor skills as they write, colour, cut, sort and glue the pictures with the correct sound onto the focus letter. These worksheets make perfect center activities, morning work, or independent reading activities.
The font is editable and can be changed to your preferred school font easily.
Prep is quick and easy... Just print the letter and picture worksheets and you are ready to go!
The letter pages work well as playdough and wipe and write activities when laminated or placed in sleeves too!
