Description

This DBQ looks at the reasons why England led the Industrial Revolution – looking at geography, laws, population, natural resources and more – through 9 primary or secondary source documents (3 sources are images and 2 are maps) with constructed response questions culminating with an essay question using the documents.

I’ve also included an extra version of the map I created in color in case you have access to color printing and copying. If you would like, replace the extra map with the black and white version in the document.

This DBQ:

  • addresses the Common Core Standards
  • follows New York State social studies testing required format
  • is useful as homework, test review or substitute teacher lesson.

This DBQ addresses the Common Core Standards and has been updated with a page outlining the English Language Arts/History/Social Studies grades 9-10 as outlined at http://www.corestandards.org/ELA-Literacy/RH/9-10 and http://www.corestandards.org/ELA-Literacy/RH/11-12.
