Description

This is a self-scoring digital assessment a Back to School 4th Grade Pre-Assessment, 4th Grade Math Pre-Test, 4th Grade Math Pre-Diagnostic Test, 4th Grade Math Assessment, 4th Grade Baseline, Intervention or a 4th Grade Math Readiness Test. It is for Distance Learning or In-Person. This useful assessment covers ONLY 3rd Grade Common Core Math standards.

  • Print version: Microsoft Word Document and PDF versions included. ZIP Extractor may be required, a free app for opening ZIP files in Google Drive.

  • 4th Grade standards are NOT covered. The assessment is designed to see how ready 4th grade students are for 4th grade (so we check their mastery of 3rd grade standards). It can also assess 3rd graders at the beginning, middle and end of 3rd grade to assess their mastery of the 3rd grade standards, i.e. progress monitoring. It depends on how the teacher wants to assess and monitor the learning.

  • Easily analyze student data to determine gaps and misconceptions. Use data to guide instruction by pulling small groups and plan your lessons strategically to meet students' needs. The assessment automatically generates a score so you don't have to spend time grading! Instead, spend more time planning effective lessons and interventions to maximize learning!

  • Use the free teacher dashboard on Desmos to analyze student results. Easily monitor student performance in one snapshot based on particular questions/standards. See which questions/standards students need the most support in. Check out the preview for how to get students' scores.

There are a total of 30 multiple choice questions and students take the assessment online using Desmos, a free platform. While free-response questions are very useful, I wanted this to be quick and easy to implement. Instructions are provided on how to use Desmos in the slides (from the purchase) and preview.
