Beginning Sounds Breakfast: Bacon & Eggs Edition
Beginning/Initial Sounds Breakfast: Bacon & Eggs Edition activity is perfect for any time of year! You can use this center activity for introducing, reviewing, and/or reteaching initial sounds. Short and long initial vowel sounds are included as well!
Directions:
-Print out, laminate and cut out the pieces. Printing on cardstock paper is strongly suggested for durability.
-Print more than one placemat if you want multiple students to participate simultaneously.
-Students match the beginning sound of the picture on the egg with the correct uppercase and lowercase letters on the bacon, then place it on the placemat. Students will then color the letter on the recording sheet once they make the match.
-Save some paper and ink by placing the recording sheet in a communicator or plastic sheet protector to use over and over again!
-Don’t have time to print recording sheets? Then have students record their answers on a white board, iPad (using a writing app like Sand Draw), paper, whatever your teacher heart desires to give them to write with. Let them use special writing tools such as scented markers, crayons, or colored pencils!
-These would make a great addition to your sensory bin or pocket chart center, small group or RTI time!
For Centers:
Use in a pocket chart, Word Work, sensory bin, or any center area in your classroom!
