Back to School Jeopardy Style Game Show - BTS 2 to 6 Gr - GC Distance Learning

Back to School Jeopardy style game show! Want to have some FUN on those first few days of school? Here is a suggestion: a GAME SHOW!! Five fun categories that will get your kids laughing, thinking, and up out of their chairs for a really good time. Make sure you have your camera ready!

This download INCLUDES a copy for Google Classroom! Great for Distance Learning. The GC version does not include scoring and the point values do not disappear...this is just a limitation of Google Slides. However, the fun and learning are STILL THERE!

This Game Show plays a little differently. The class is divided into four teams. Teams take turns choosing the next category/dollar amount. So if Team 1 takes a turn, Team 1 will choose the category and amount BUT ALL of the teams will try to guess the answer. First team to get the correct answer is awarded the points. The team who is awarded the points is NOT the next one to choose a new category. Now it is Team TWO'S turn. Then Team 3, then Team 4... not who guessed the correct answer. :)

Game Show categories include:

Scrambled: School themed words all scrambled up. Students need to unscramble the word. If they need a hint, just click on any letter and it will go to its correct spot in the word.

AlphaBody: Students use their bodies to form letters to spell out their favorite foods, colors, etc. No speaking on this one!

Make a List: Students make a list of various school themed ideas such as A List of things found in a backpack. This is a timed event!

Main Idea: Students are given a list of 3-4 words and have to figure out how they are all related. See if they notice that ALL of the Main Idea slides have the word ZEBRA in it!

DRAWiT: Cards are provided with the clues to each of the slides. (check the Word doc provided) Students draw the picture and the team who guesses first is awarded the points. Again, no talking on this one!

You AND your kids are going to love choosing which "contestants" team they are on. When you get the correct answer, check it on the screen, then click YOUR team's contestant to be awarded the points!

If you have a smartboard or any other type of interactive whiteboard, you can also use the projection from those and just use the interactive portion without having to convert the file to whatever it is you use! If you're able to "play" a regular powerpoint, you should be able to play this one too!
