"All About Me" Digital Activities

Get to know your students with this All About Me digital interactive resource! Whether learning in person or remotely, this Google Slides resource will work for you as long as you have access to Google Drive, Google Classroom, or Microsoft OneDrive.

Students will complete up to 15 engaging activities about themselves and their families. Directions are included for sharing the file with students. It's a fun paperless digital activity for the start of a new year!

After activities such as "My Favorites", "Would You Rather", "Take Sides", or "Emoji Me" are completed, students compare answers with partners, so they can see all that they have in common. This helps build a strong sense of community. Doing these same activities whole group during Morning Meeting would be a great extension.

Students will share their work with you, which you can then project for the whole class for such activities as "Two Truths and a Fib", "Summer Snapshot", and "Dream Destination". These activities all offer students the opportunity to speak in front of the class in a low-key, non-threatening way.

While designed as a paperless activity, individual pages can be printed out for a bulletin board display.

While completing these activities, students will:

• Practice searching for/adding images
• Improve keyboarding skills
• Learn more about their classmates
• Practice communication skills when sharing activities with classmates

You will receive:

• A Teacher Tutorial with general directions for adding files to Google Drive and sharing them with students
• A PDF file with directions for this project, and a link to the Google Slides file that contains this resource. When you click the link, you will be prompted to make a copy of the file, and it will be added to your own Google Drive.

*Note: If you do not yet have a free Google account, you will need to sign up for one prior to downloading. Instructions are in the Teacher Tutorial.

This resource is a highly engaging way for students to get to know each other at the beginning of the year.

*IMPORTANT: This is a digital file housed on Google Drive. You will initially receive a pdf file with a link to downloading the actual Google Slides resource on Google Drive. You can assign activities through Google Classroom, or share them with students through their Drive.
