Description
Start your school year off right with FIVE days of hands-on fun to get your middle school students excited about the new school year and your class! These engaging activities include all about me activities and focus on building community, establishing class agreements (rules) and procedures as well as group relationships.
Most of the activities are now DIGITAL!
There are 5 days worth of non-editable plans:
✅ Day 1: Ice breaker, BINGO game, and printable + digital & Easel craftivity: A Guess Who Activity. (PERFECT to display for Open House!)
✅ Day 2: Discussion of class "agreements" (rules), go over syllabus (editable syllabus included in the zip file) and finish craftivity from Day 1. The Agreements Activity is digital.
✅ Day 3: Review syllabus, routines, and procedures with a game, plus poster creation (templates included). Poster templates are printable, digital, and in Easel.
✅ Day 4: Cooperative learning activity with a rubric that helps create community based on "How Full is Your Bucket?" (the book is not included but a link to a video of the book is included) Video and learning activity with rubric are digital.
✅ Day 5: Presentation of cooperative learning activity (Products of this presentation are also great to display for Open House as evidence of team building!) This day is also perfect for kicking off any reward system you want to put into place! There is an included example of my ticket system that I have used for upwards of 20 years with great success. :)
✅ All digital components have pre-placed text boxes, can be shared via the links inside on any learning management system like Google Classroom, Canvas and more, and have editable directions.
✅ BONUS: This now includes an EDITABLE PowerPoint to show to your students with directions for most activities!
