    Description

These are great reinforcement activities for your students. All of the activities come with a fun craft perfect for the beginning of the year.

    • We Don't Eat Our Classmates book companion. After reading the book, We Don't Eat Our Classmates, by Ryan Higgins, student will give advice to Penelope, who is nervous to go to school. Next, students will learn about characters and write how Penelope changed over the course of the story. Students will decide on what animal would make a better class pet than the fish that bit Penelope's finger as everyone deserves to feel safe in school. Last, students will tell their opinion on whether they would want Penelope in their class. All of the activities come with crafts perfect for the beginning of the year.

    • Finally, Back to School Get to Know You Icebreakers Classroom Discussion Slides consist of 30 discussion slides to help facilitate classroom discussion where students get to know one another all month long.

    A bonus file for a Getting to Know You Game on Google Drive is included. Students select a shape that takes them to a slide with a question to answer. Questions are getting to know you in nature, so they will allow the teacher to get to know the students. There are 26 questions in all. You can play this game in class or virtually with a shared screen.
