    Description

One Step Equations is actually a series of skills. If your students can't do all the skills involved, they will never master one-step equations. So provide remediation on the skills they are lacking by using Skills Based Learning Stations, click here.

This BUNDLE includes 5 Learning Stations Resource Packs to help your students master all the integers skills:

Each Learning Stations comes equipped with 7 resources to build a learning station to help your students master the skill of that station.

    • 3 Reteach Worksheets
      • Designed to teach the student the skill without the need of direct instruction. Critical thinking skills and guided practice are utilized within this worksheet.

    • 3 Practice Worksheets
      • Each worksheet is front and back and is designed to reinforce the skill by offering lots of practice on the skill.

    • 3 Extended Practice Worksheets
      • A fun way to practice the skill while still getting immediate feedback. Each station has Maze Worksheets or Color by Numbers Worksheet

    • Student Tracking Forms
      • These are designed to help the student know which activity to do next as they progress through the activities to obtain mastery. One is filled out with online links, and one utilizes only the resources in this packet in case you do not have access to technology in the classroom.

    • Pennants to Celebrate Student Success
      • One is in color, the other is black and white so that students can fill out

    • A document with 10 links to online tutorial videos
      • These are links that you can send the student to for help with their reteach, or use in the classroom as reinforcement

    • 3 Quizzes

    BONUS RESOURCE

This bundle comes with 2 pre-requisite quizzes that cover all 5 skills.

How do you know which skill the student needs to work on?

Give them the Pre-Requisite Skills Test.

You’ll notice the test is divided into 5 categories (one for each skill that we have a station for). If the student misses any of the questions for that category, they need to develop that skill, so put them in that station.

How do you know when the student has mastered the skill?

They complete the round of intervention work and then take the quiz. If they pass the quiz (80% of better) they can be progressed to the next skill. If they don’t pass the quiz, they need further remediation. So move them on to the next round of intervention. Each packet comes with enough resources for three rounds of intervention. If, after 3 rounds, the student is still not proficient, you need to do more direct intervention or focus on even greater remedial skills development.

Apply and extend previous understandings of addition and subtraction to add and subtract rational numbers; represent addition and subtraction on a horizontal or vertical number line diagram.
Describe situations in which opposite quantities combine to make 0. For example, a hydrogen atom has 0 charge because its two constituents are oppositely charged.
Understand 𝘱 + 𝘲 as the number located a distance |𝘲| from 𝘱, in the positive or negative direction depending on whether 𝘲 is positive or negative. Show that a number and its opposite have a sum of 0 (are additive inverses). Interpret sums of rational numbers by describing real-world contexts.
Understand subtraction of rational numbers as adding the additive inverse, 𝘱 – 𝘲 = 𝘱 + (β€“π˜²). Show that the distance between two rational numbers on the number line is the absolute value of their difference, and apply this principle in real-world contexts.
Apply properties of operations as strategies to add and subtract rational numbers.
