Description

This internet activity can be used with the Street Law, Chapter 9, 9th Edition or as an extension to Anti-Bullying Programs in your school. The www.stopbullying.gov website is an excellent source for activities and professional development. This activity is a small part of what can be done. Students will be researching the federal government site on bullying. Students will learn fundamental information about bullying.   This includes the frequency of bullying, effects of bullying, and prevention techniques. 

Excerpt from Stop Bullying on the Spot(stopbullying.gov):

“Parents, school staff, and other adults in the community can help kids prevent bullying by talking about it, building a safe school environment, and creating a community-wide bullying prevention strategy.”
