WHAT IS A VISUAL BOOK REPORT?

Book reports are an essential part of the K-12 curriculum. Among the many different ways to complete these assignments, Visual Book Reports may be one of the most effective. Rather than relying on words alone to describe a work's main plot and ideas, students can use visual aids to show their understanding of the material. 

This format allows students to create a project that displays critical plot points, main ideas, and themes using images, visual elements, and words. Character analysis could also be added by having students sketch or create images online of essential objects that reveal character. 

Visual Book Reports can be a refreshing way to explore a work of literature and display understanding in an eye-catching manner. While still informative, Visual Book Reports can help students think outside the box and demonstrate their comprehension in a new way.
