Description
“The Case of the Disoriented Dancer” helps students review the line and space notes on the bass clef. It is the fourth in my Music Detective series. This resource includes two files of this game, one for PowerPoint and one for SMART Notebook.
Students solve clues by deciphering words using bass clef letter names. This game only uses GBDFA and ACEG, no notes above or below the staff.
The story for this game keeps the students engrossed in learning. In the game, they meet a dancer who has amnesia. Maxwell, the music detective, has to follow clues using his knowledge of bass clef notes to help her find her identity and solve the mystery of why she doesn’t remember anything.
Students click on items throughout the story based on their success in solving the bass clef codes. The story is engaging for students, the graphics are beautiful, and the game works perfectly for a music class, a sub, and for homeschool!
This game takes one or two 30-minute classes, depending on the level of your students and how much time you spend on the review (I included review pages). This lesson would be most appropriate and enjoyable for exceptional 2nd graders and up.
