Autumn Book For The Young Student

First there were the Winter and Spring books for students to make on their own. Now it is time for autumn!
After reading the Smart Board Autumn book to the whole class, copy the workbook panels for each student. Your students can then cut and paste the correct words onto the correct page in their own Autumn book.
Key words are presented to read aloud, and then a matching activity is presented so students can take turns matching the same word. Another two activities are, sounding out first letters and filling in the missing letters to the autumn words. Then it is time to read the book about Autumn. There is an opportunity for students to write their own story about autumn with suggested words to use in their story. Print out the the PDF format of the book for students to fill in the correct words for each page. Once finished, it is ready to send home for your students to read to their parents! Students also revive a certificate of accomplishment.
