This download includes 9 different passages for students to read and decide what is the author's purpose. Each passage has 4 text block areas for students to write their justification of author's purpose. They can include details from the passage or characteristics of the purpose.

These passages are great for small groups, for students to complete as pairs or groups, or for individual practice.
