Description

***Objective: To identify the author's point of view of a topic.

***CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RI.3.6
Distinguish their own point of view from that of the author of a text.

This activity can be used when reviewing or wrapping up an author's point of view (AKA author's viewpoint or author's perspective) lesson. After reading an informational text, students will create a t-shirt design to reflect the author's point of view about a topic.

This is a fun, creative way to teach author's perspective, viewpoint, or point of view (as McGraw Hill-Wonders calls it)! :)

This directly aligns with the common core standard by having students identify the author's point of view and distinguishing their own point of view from that of the author.
