Description

Mathematicians will engage in a variety of activities to sort tools by different attributes. These are perfect for whole group, small group or math centers!

Product Includes:

  • Sorting Attribute Headers

Teacher can show the header to have mathematicians sort their tools by the attribute. These attribute headers include sorting by: shape, size, color, sides, thickness, how many.

  • Sorting Attribute Student Cards
  • Students will pick a card to sort their tools by.
  • Sorting Mats

Mats Include: sorting by color on colored squares, sorting by color on colored counting bears, sorting by shapes on attribute block shapes, sort by number of holes on hole buttons, size big or small, pick an attribute and NOT

Teacher Tips:

Consider giving mathematicians a mystery sort. (Example, put all the yellow things together, put all the green things together, put all the blue things together. Ask mathematicians how did we sort? How do you know? Where would you put the yellow button? etc.)
