Description

Once a student completes an art project, it is important for them to reflect upon both the process and result. This sheet serves as the foundation for creating an artist statement, guiding the student through a reflective process. The separate sections account for artwork title, mediums, artwork goal, feelings toward the created work, possible revisions, and celebration of uniqueness.

This sheet can be used as summative assessment for small term or long term projects, as it assesses for completion and comprehension of goals set by the teacher.

Normalizing reflective practice for young artists encourages them to take creative risks, values negative and positive feelings as a major aspect of art making, and trains them to practice mindfulness during the creative process.

This sheet was made in Canva Premium.
