Article: Wrap It Up

This is the third in sequence format used midway through a semester or school year. This assignment has students integrate outside sources connecting them to the current novel study. This gives students an opportunity to learn skills such as MLA (or required) format, reading and summarizing a given article, finding, evaluating and summarizing an article, constructing a Works Cited page, and eventually vocabulary integration and internal citation. As I said, this assignment builds over time, giving the teacher time to assess and teach needed skills.
