Arthur's Thanksgiving a Smartboard Language Unit

This is an interactive Smartboard unit that can be used to work on language objectives. There are interactive notebook components included in the body of the Smartboard unit. A link to a youtube video of the story is available however, you may want to read the story yourself (it is there for your convenience, especially if you have to read the story over and over again to different language groups).

The following strategies and skills are addressed in the unit:
figurative language
predicting/inferring
vocabulary (define, synonyms, antonyms, multiple meanings)
problem/solution
persuasion
negative statements
retelling using story grammar marker icons
following directions
reader's theater
turkey humor
This unit can be done over a period of 5 consecutive days or over a few weeks of language therapy.
