Art Museum Field Trip Animal Scavenger Hunt
- PDF
Description
I got the idea for an art museum animal scavenger hunt after taking my toddler to our local art museum. We had such a fun time finding animals in the art and making the animal sounds. This activity would work well for early years, preschool, or even primary grade field trips. It could also be used by homeschooling families or as a summer or weekend activity for parents. The art museum animal scavenger hunt may also appeal to museum educators.
The art museum field trip animal scavenger hunt is a double sided paper featuring a table with animal pictures and empty circles. As students explore the art museum, they will look for animals in the artworks they view. They can color in the circle or the circles can be covered with dot stickers to collect data on how many animals they see. I would recommend checking with your museum to see what materials would be allowed since I know my museum only allows pencils when we go on field trips.
