    Description

    Hey there, elementary school teachers!

Looking for a way to engage your students in the world of art and creativity? Our art lesson bundle featuring Eric Carle, Rex Ray, and Jim Dine is just what you need!

In this lesson bundle, you will guide your students through the styles and techniques of these three iconic artists. They'll learn how Eric Carle uses bright colors and simple shapes to create his beloved children's book illustrations, how Rex Ray blends pop art and collage to create vibrant and dynamic compositions, and how Jim Dine explores the possibilities of everyday objects in his unique printmaking and sculpture works.

Here are four ways you can incorporate this lesson bundle into your elementary classroom:

    1. Literacy: Use Eric Carle's books as inspiration for creative writing activities, encouraging your students to create their own stories and illustrations.
    2. Science: Use Rex Ray's collages to teach your students about patterns, symmetry, and color theory, and the science of how our brains perceive and interpret visual information.
    3. Social Studies: Use Jim Dine's artwork to teach your students about different cultures and traditions, and how art can be used to express identity and community.
    4. Art: Use the techniques and styles of these three artists to teach your students about color mixing, composition, and other fundamental art techniques.

My easy-to-follow lesson plans make it a breeze to lead your students through these fun and engaging art activities, even if you're not an experienced art teacher.

Measure the length of an object by selecting and using appropriate tools such as rulers, yardsticks, meter sticks, and measuring tapes.
Distinguish between defining attributes (e.g., triangles are closed and three-sided) versus non-defining attributes (e.g., color, orientation, overall size); build and draw shapes to possess defining attributes.
Compose two-dimensional shapes (rectangles, squares, trapezoids, triangles, half-circles, and quarter-circles) or three-dimensional shapes (cubes, right rectangular prisms, right circular cones, and right circular cylinders) to create a composite shape, and compose new shapes from the composite shape.
Partition circles and rectangles into two and four equal shares, describe the shares using the words halves, fourths, and quarters, and use the phrases half of, fourth of, and quarter of. Describe the whole as two of, or four of the shares. Understand for these examples that decomposing into more equal shares creates smaller shares.
Recognize and draw shapes having specified attributes, such as a given number of angles or a given number of equal faces. Identify triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, hexagons, and cubes.
