Aqueous Solutions Task Cards

Move away from the traditional in-class worksheets and engage chemistry students in a collaborative learning experience by using the Aqueous Solutions Task Cards. Additionally, the task cards serve as a great differentiation tool. Suggestions for product use are included; however, as always, the teacher may decide how s/he would like to utilize the cards in the classroom. Grades 8-12 – level will vary depending on region.

----Version 1 - Colored border and in color (numbered)
----Version 2 - Simple black border and in color (unnumbered)
----Version 3 - Simple black border and black & white (unnumbered)
----Answer key included for Version 1. The non-numbered versions allow you to pick and choose which cards you would like the students to answer.

----36 of these cards can be solved within a few minutes.
----12 of these cards are activity oriented. This means that students will demonstrate their learning through various activities such as writing a letter or song, creating a lab, and so forth. These cards may require additional materials, for instance, the use of technology; however, a typical science classroom should contain these materials. Please keep that in mind prior to distributing cards to students.

• Factors Affecting Solubility / Solubility Rules (green cards)

You can tailor a set for students. For example, if James knows electrolytes but struggles with acids & bases, then you can instruct him to complete the acids & bases cards' only.
