Description

Earth Day is a wonderful time to engage students with an alternative writing project by connecting research skills, writing skills, and art. In this opinion-based writing prompt, students are encouraged to research what is Earth Day and why it is important. Then, they are to write an opinion essay on Earth Day should earn a USPS stamp.

The Earth Day Stamp Project is perfect to use as a Classroom activity for 4th and 5th-grade students to practice their research and writing skills. Teachers are also given the opportunity to showcase students' work by publishing it on a bulletin board with a ready to print Earth Day poster.
