Animal Research Poster Activity: This pack includes 43 different animals to research. It includes an ‘all about’ poster organizer, as well as a piece of themed writing paper for each animal. In addition, there is an organizer for other facts that students can use if you would like them to elaborate more than what the poster requires.
I have marked these posters for grades 2-4. Please use your best judgment after you click on the PREVIEW button above. This will give you a better idea as to what you are purchasing. Some teachers in first grade and even fifth grade may also find these suitable. Once again, look closely and you can decide. :-)
Grab your media specialist, get some books on topic, get your computers ready, and have fun learning about all of the animals. There are lots of options for these posters.
You can have the whole class research a different animal when learning the research process. You could also use this as a weekly center activity where students use books you have checked out from the library and made available in the classroom. You could allow them to choose from a few animals each week to research. This could also even be a homework assignment. If you choose to use this as a computer lab project, some of the major zoos have great information on many animals on their websites. Also, if you take a field trip to the zoo, you might like to do a little animal research before going.
