Animal Research Project Non fiction

Are you looking for a great research project for your students?

This fun, hands on, animal research project makes cross curricular links with Science, Language Arts and Math and is fully aligned with the Common Core Standards.

This 18 page unit pack contains all you need for your students to research an animal of their choice. I usually let my children work with a partner. I give them a non-fiction animal book, at their reading level, to use as a resource. Students brainstorm about their animal, then use the book to help them complete their project. Depending on the ability of your students, you may choose to model some/all of the project pages or let them complete independently.

You can pick and choose what you'd like your students to complete or have them complete the entire research project pages. Some pages (including the writing prompt) are differentiated to accommodate a range of learners.
