What educators are saying

This is a great product! It really keeps my students engaged while learning how to write for information.

Description

Make report writing easy with these easy-to-follow templates! Students will be able to write an informative research project in a step by step format using these graphic organizers.

After each student chooses a different animal to research, they will use the notes pages to record and organize their information. The students then compile their research into a book all about their animal!

This resource includes:

  • research note templates
  • All About book cover
  • research pages
  • fun facts page
  • life cycle templates (2 versions)
  • student checklist
  • teacher checklist

This is a great project to do prior to a zoo or aquarium field trip. While on our trip, students could observe their animal in action! We also bound the books and kept them in our classroom library for all students to read throughout the year.

What other teachers are saying:

This is a wonderful unit that is grade level appropriate for my 1st graders. It is presented nicely! - Holly S.

Great product. The note taking sheets were simple and my kids were easily able to use to record their facts! - Leigh

This was so great for my students! They each researched an animal that we have at our local zoo. Then, we went on a school field trip to the zoo where they read their reports to the class when we were at each respective animal. They were so proud to know so much about their animals!
